Description and scope of data processing
Data are transferred by your web browser when you call up our websites. The data are saved in the web server’s log files. This refers to the following data:

– The type and versions of the browser being used
– The operating system used by the accessing system
– The website used to access our website, the subpages used by a system to access our website (referrer)
– The date and time of access
– The name of the file requested
– The size of the file transmitted
– The IP address making the request

Art. 6 (1) 1 (f) GDPR as legal basis for pro-cessing web server log files. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes mentioned above.
No conclusions are made regarding the data subject when using the web server log data. On the contrary, the web server log data are used to ensure correct delivery of our website contents, to assure permanent functionality of our IT systems and the technology of our website and to provide the cri-minal prosecution authorities with the information necessary for law en-forcement in the event of a cyber attack.
The data and information obtained in this way are used by us for statistical purposes and also evaluated with the aim of improving data protection and data safety in our company in order to ensure an optimum level of protection for the personal data processed by us.

The server log file data are kept separately from all personal data given by a data subject and erased as follows:
– Access-Log: Speicherdauer 14 Tage

The deletion is automatic.

The handling of personal data

Personal data are only stored when you provide us with such data yourself, e.g. within the scope of an online application or via a contact form or by e-mail. Such data are transmitted across the Internet in encrypted form.
We only use the personal data that you provide via our website or by e-mail (e.g. your name and postal address or e-mail address) in order to correspond with you or for the purpose for which you have provided us with your data.

Contact form

Personal data provided in this context will certainly be your first and family names as well as your e-mail address. Your first and family names will be used to send you a personal answer. We use your e-mail address exclusively for responding to the message you have sent us. "Company", "department", "address" and "telephone number" represent optional data that we only require when you request that material be sent by post or you wish us to call you. The data are not retained or subjected to further processing afterwards.

Processing in this context means processing personal data as is necessary for safeguarding a legitimate interest of our company, unless such an interest is overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (f) is the legal basis for this.

Product enquiry

Personal data provided in this context will certainly be your first and family names as well as your e-mail address. Your first and family names will be used to send you a personal answer. We use your e-mail address exclusively for responding to the message you have sent us and for processing your product enquiry. Any message, drawing or detailed information on the requested product are optional information that allow us to optimize our answer to your request.

Integration of Vimeo-clips

We have integrated videos from the video platform vimeo, a third-party provider, into our online offer. The videos are stored on vimeo.com, integrated as an iFrame on our website and can be played directly on our website.

For technical reasons, the integration of Vimeo for playing the videos results in the  transfer of data from your browser or device as described in the section "Server log files". You can find further information on data processing and data protection by Vimeo at vimeo.com/privacy.

Newsletter

The data collected when registering for our newsletter are processed exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The data collected will certainly be the e-mail address that is to be used for sending the newsletter. Optional data provided voluntarily will be first and family names, title and company name. First and family names and title will be used to personalize the newsletter. Providing the company name serves to identify the target group and provide interesting and relevant themes.

The sending of the newsletter makes use of the so-called double-opt-in method. This means that we do not send you the newsletter e-mail until after you have confirmed your registration via a link contained in a confirmation e-mail that we send you. You can request to stop receiving such newsletter e-mails from us at any time. To do this, please send an e-mail to marketing @ sedak.com or to the contact address given in this privacy policy or click on the link at the end of the information e-mail. Apart from the transmission costs at the basic rates, there is no further cost to you. Your consent serves as the legal basis for sending the newsletter (GDPR Art. 6 (1) (a)).

Form for online application

We collect, process and use your personal data in connection with online applications. The data you send us via the online application form on our website will only be processed and used to handle your application. Your data are sent directly to the personnel department. Your data entered on the online application form are transmitted to the server in encrypted form. After that, your application data are forwarded by means of an unencrypted e-mail to our personnel department and could be seen or modified by unauthorized persons. If you do not agree to this, then do not use our online application form, instead send us your application by post.

Personal data provided in this context will certainly be your first and family names, your e-mail address and your application documents. Your first and family names will be used to send you a personal answer. We use your e-mail address exclusively for processing your application. The application documents are essential for participating in an application procedure. If you do not include any application documents, you cannot be considered in the application procedure.

Once you have consented to inclusion in the pool of applicants, we use your data in accordance with your consent to subsequently contact you and continue with the application procedure, in the event that you should come into consideration for another position. The data from the pool of applicants can be viewed by the persons involved in the application process from companies within the company group.

If we do not conclude a contract (employment contract) with you, the data are retained for a maximum of six months. In the event of your agreement to the pool of applicants, we save the data until your withdrawal of consent. Our company is required by law to retain the data for any potential lawsuits that require the processing of your personal data. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (f) is the legal basis for this.

If we do conclude a contract (employment contract) with you, the application data are added to your personnel file and constitute a part of this. The personnel file including the application documents are destroyed 10 years after termination of your employment contract with us.

In this context, we process personal data in order to fulfil a contract concluded with you. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (b) is the legal basis for this.

Automatic decision-making and profiling

We do not carry out any automated decision-making, nor any profiling.
