Curved glass from biaxial to multicurved
Complex glass geometries – thermally tempered up to maximum format
From cylindrically curved panes to multi-curved free-form shapes: sedak combines different bending processes with consulting, further processing, and exceptional production formats. This turns complex architectural geometries into manufacturable glass solutions.
sedak multicurved – tempered 3D architectural glass
Game changer for complex glass geometries.
sedak multicurved is our answer to geometries where conventional bending processes reach their limits. The specialized, furnace-controlled process enables spherical, synclastic, anticlastic, and free-form shapes – without conventional project-specific mold fabrication. This makes complex 3D shapes precise, repeatable, and industrially manufacturable.
Complex facades are created digitally. That is why production at sedak does not begin at the furnace, but with the geometry. At an early planning stage, sedak analyzes 3D data, radii, panel sizes, and critical geometry areas. STEP, IGES, Rhino, and IFC data feed directly into the feasibility analysis. This allows us to know early on what is feasible, how it will be produced, and which process will deliver the best result.
From the digital form to finished glass
The right process for every geometry
Radius, glass build-up, dimensions, structural function, and optical requirements determine the production route. sedak masters the relevant bending technologies – from single-curved panes and double-curved glass to complex three-dimensional free-form shapes. We do not adapt the architecture to the process. We choose the process for the architecture.

Large formats. Tight radii. Free-form shapes.
When others see limits, we see geometry
Large dimensions. Tight radii
From large-format facade glass to the tightest curvatures: sedak produces curved glass with radii below 500 mm and formats up to 20 m in exceptional quality.
Comprehensive geometry analysis
We assess complex geometries for feasibility and the appropriate production route at an early stage. STEP, IGES, Rhino, and IFC data feed directly into the analysis – making it clear from the outset how a design becomes a manufacturable glass solution.
Maximum design freedom
Cylindrical, biaxial, spherical, synclastic, anticlastic, or free-form:
Efficient & sustainable production
sedak masters the full spectrum of glass bending – from lamination and gravity bending to sedak multicurved. The multicurved process enables complex 3D geometries without the need for conventional, project-specific molds.

FAQ about architectural curved glass
sedak production capabilities
What processes are available for producing curved glass?
Depending on the geometry and requirements, sedak uses different processes: lamination bending, thermal bending, gravity bending, and sedak multicurved. The choice depends, among other factors, on the radius, glass dimensions, glass build-up, and required further processing.
Curved Glass
What is machine bending?
In machine bending, the heated glass is brought into the required shape during the heat-treatment process. This enables precise, repeatable geometries, tight radii, as well as fully tempered glass (FTG) and heat-strengthened glass (HSG). sedak uses this process particularly for demanding cylindrical and large-format applications up to 18 m.
sedak multicurved
What is the advantage of sedak multicurved?
sedak multicurved enables multi-curved glass geometries through a specialized, furnace-controlled process without conventional project-specific mold fabrication. This allows complex 3D geometries to be parameterized and manufactured repeatably.
Curved Architectural Glass
What is the difference between 2D- and 3D-curved glass?
2D-curved glass is essentially formed along one axis. With 3D-curved glass, the curvature extends in multiple directions. This makes spherical, synclastic, anticlastic, and free-form geometries possible, for example.
Coatings
Are coatings possible on 3D-curved glass?
Yes. Depending on the project, curved glass can be combined with suitable solar-control and design coatings as well as ceramic digital printing. This makes it possible to combine geometric, energy-performance, and design requirements.
Curved Glass
What is lamination bending?
In lamination bending, glass panes are formed into the required curvature as part of the laminated safety glass production process and permanently bonded together. The process enables particularly large-format curved glass up to 3.6 × 20 m and is especially suitable for architecture with large radii and exceptional dimensions.
Curved Glass
What is gravity bending?
During gravity bending, the glass is heated in the furnace and bent over a mold by its own weight. The process is particularly suitable for complex geometries, free-form shapes, and demanding bends. sedak combines precise temperature control and coordinated mold fabrication with further processing into high-quality architectural glass.
