2015 - sedak looking back

An exciting year comes to an end. sedak looks proudly at a successful 2015.

We presented our production capabilities for oversize glass at several national and international trade fairs. One of our highlights was the BAU in Munich in January. The visitors from 38 different countries were impressed by our exhibits, a laminate in 3.2m x 14m printed with ceramic inks and a 1.2 tons heavy insulating glass unit in 1.1m x 14m.

Thanks to our consistent development of our products and processes, we were able to convince a lot of clients of our sedak glass. With our new insulating glass line that we started operating this year, we manufacture units up to 15m and with a weight up to 450 kg/lm fully automated. An exceptional process and a milestone of the insulating glass production.

The enormous time efficiency and the high precision of our insulating glass production offer our clients a totally unique planning security.

sedak products stand for unrivaled quality of finishing glass. That is why we invest in our employee's know how. Congratulations to seven of our colleagues on their passed exam to become a quality management specialist. sedak also passed the audits according to DIN EN ISO 50001 (energy management) and DIN EN ISO 9001 successfully.

Great architectural works were realized with sedak glass this year. A highlight were the 7m long glass fins for Brookfield Place that allowed the architects of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects in New York to create a shopping mall downtown Manhattan with a maximum transparent façade.

sedak furthermore took "the Swiss Alps to Middle Franconia". A 27sqm large unit was printed with the a panoramic view of the Swiss Alps. The laminate is now used by the HT Group to show how glass can be used as a wall covering in e.g. hospitals. Due to the nearly non-porous surface, the robust, and durable material can be aseptically cleaned very quickly and without any difficulties. Thus, sedak makes a completely new standard of hygiene in labs and hospitals possible.

In order to satisfy the increasing interest in the glass manufacturer from Gersthofen, Bavaria, sedak expanded its online presence in 2015. Besides the website, sedak can now be found on LinkedIn, Xing, the international architectural platform archello, Google+, Twitter (@sedak_de and @sedak_int) and Facebook.

We wish you some relaxing holidays and lots of success in 2016!
